Rasha Mohammad Saleh

Born in Zakho, Kurdistan, Iraq, 1983. Rasha, a
self-taught artist is exceptionally active in the
field of printmaking. She works in an atelier
introducing graphic techniques to local artists.
She took part in many exhibitions and has been
promoting graphic art among children through
arranging special workshops, even in refugee
camps, in Kurdistan, Iraq. She presented a series
of etchings to render her theme which, according
to her personal statement, revolves on the speed
development and modernization of Erbil
(Kurdistan) in opposition to the undeveloped
society, particularly the feminine status that
remain excluded and untouched.
