Mohammad Nabil
The Award was granted for the aesthetic
qualities, creativity and thematic images
rendered in Nabil's series of abstract untitled
works in relief printing. Nabil’s images reflect the
artist’s technical skills in rendering his composed
subject stemming from his visual research. The
series of linocuts reveal his command on creating
an interplay of complex geometric surfaces
designed within the surrounding space in black
and white involving greyish shades. The
meticulous rendering of his forms reflect his
mastery as much as his thorough contemplation
on cosmic like structure intervened by essential
light.
